In this project, a different approach has been studied in the context of the digital modeling of muqarnas.
The muqarnas geometry is divided into the strings on x- and y-axis. These strings generate overlapping layers like steps. So, the depth of the geometry is changing from bottom to top. Each step is defined as a unique cell.
To build a parametric system from the repetitive cells, a grid system is outlined as the base of the algorithm. The intersections and connections are defined on the grid to analyze the actions of the making process of the geometry.
